This Frigging Computer Is Driving Me Up The Wall-help!

Have to reboot every 1/2 hour no matter what browser ect. It freezes up .No apparant connection problems...Doesnt matter dialup or Wireless network...Use AVG free-No viruses...Use AVG free spyware blocker & have all tracking cookies taken off automatically too...Use MSN messenger & also use Microsoft Windows defender.......The only way to fix it (pages wont load either) Is to reboot the SOB when it fucks up about every 1/2 hr 45 mins......Is there anything out there free or ends up free that I can dowload to remidy this shit?...This is really driving me up the wall...No excuse for this shit with all the technology out there....It pisses me off so bad sometimes Id like to throw a brick thru the damn gateway laptop...It takes about 5 mins to completely reboot every time too...Please help!...Thanks

if it's a laptop, alot of times it will freeze up and/or become very slow when there isn't enough air moving through it to keep the CPU cool, is your fan being blocked at all or is it dusty looking?

Took bottom cover off & a couple dog hairs & a little fuzz in there but nothing big....Registry cleaner?...Anybody know a good free one?...U got to love & hate computers when they phuk up...Any other suggestions from the geeks appreciated...Thanks

Sounds like an XP machine trying to run with 256 or 512mb of RAM (Which is NOT enough!!)

During boot up, hit F8 every few seconds and you'll get a menu of boot up options-Safe mode will be in that list.

Run it on safe mode?..........................After downloading the Reg cleaner top one 2nd link the comp runs faster but doesnt boot any faster so far no windows freezes page no loads or fuck ups

That's your problem. 256 is not enough for Xp to run on. 512 really isn't enough.

Bump it up to 1gb & it will run a hell of a lot better. I can just about guarantee that to you.
